THANK YOU!!
Master set of notes, String of Pearls, Buy me a coffee
Hi all,
We have made it to the end of the College Learning Series lectures, I wanted to send out an email to say thank you to everyone for coming along on the ride (!) and for sharing a final few resources.
I started this project because I found the lectures such a divisive point between people who had sat the exam. Lots of people said they were useless, and others swore by watching them all and taking detailed notes because “questions are definitely taken from the lectures”. I found watching 3 hours of lectures every week on top of work and study was not sustainable, so I hope these notes have been able to fill that gap for some people. There has been just on 6000 views on the notes to date which is crazy, and a special thanks to anyone who has given feedback or found bugs along the way.
I’ve attached a few things to this special edition instalment:
A master set of notes, which contains all the Notes for BPTs notes compiled into a single PDF (this somehow has turned into a >800 page bohemith, so maybe is better as a reference document at this point). It’s too large to attach here so I’ve attached a Google drive link below.
The infamous ‘String of Pearls’ PDF, just in case anyone didn’t already have it. It is a condensed version of high yield notes which are worth looking over a few times before exam day.
Last year I created an anki card bot, and ran String of Pearls through it, I’ve attached a link to the deck I used in the last month or so before the exam just to run over the document a few times in small chunks*. Substack doesn’t support anki files so I’ve also attached this as a link.
*Flashcards are AI generated so sometimes appear a bit confused or don’t entirely make sense and I never edited out all the mistakes, but about 95% are good.
Two more things:
In 2026 I’ll be continuing on with my PhD at Oxford in epidemiology/biostats. I’m hoping to start a new blog/newsletter related to global health, statistics and AI in medicine. I’ll be out doing research in Uganda from January so will aim to get my first email out from there! If you want to follow along, feel free to subscribe here:
If you’ve found the content this year useful, I’d love to hear any feedback or comments or ways that the content/delivery could be improved. If you wanted to show your support by buying me a coffee (one of my 2025 goals was to make $1 online), here’s a link where you can:
Thanks,
Jackson
